Flame Scanners and Monitoring Systems
FLAME SCANNING SYSTEM
Flame scanners utilize spectral sensitivity of semiconductor sensing element. On the basis of the radiation intensity in the particular spectral range and the flame flicker frequency, they generate an output signal for further processing. In practice we use two basic sensor applications:
- Selective monitoring of individual flame burners
- Monitoring of the combustion chamber – as a whole – for the purpose of combustion stability evaluation and a possible stabilizing burner start-up.
We offer a wide range of sensors for each fuel type and for different geometry of boilers. Sensors with optical fiber cables for temperature up to 200 °C are available for high temperature application. We also deliver sensors for explosive environments. Our newest product is a compact scanner equipped with a pair of flame microprocessors. This sensor is software based, and thus programmable and adjustable via an infraport. (see section “NEWS”)
OVERALL FLAME SCANNER SYSTEM
A sphere mount allows optimum setting of the sensor in the optical axis in the range of 30 °C. For the optimal alignment, an optic calibration device is used. A non-metal thermal insulator is inserted between the sphere mount and the sensor.
